January Garnet Upate

Here is a JG update, am working on her day in and day out at the moment.  She is coming along nicely, and can't wait to get her finished.  Hoping to get this side done by the end of Saturday, then I only have the left side of the dress to do, before I can say I have a Happy dance.  Hoping to have her completed by the end of this month.

This next piece is a baby C2C Blanket for a friend who recently had a bay, currently also knitting a couple of cardigans for her too, will add pictures once they are both finished.

This will be the next piece that I intend to finish, once JG is finished.  It is called Flowers of the Orient (3).  It is roughly half way, so hoping to get this one done next, then I am thinking of having a new start possibly.  But not sure what, I have plenty to choose from lol

Update on January Garnet

I started working on January Garnet this evening, am pleased with progress so far.  I am enjoying stitching again at last.

Will be back to stitching her tomorrow morning.  I have a list of what order to get all my 16 pieces finished, and after 2/3 finishes, I will choose a new start.  My new start once I have finished JG and Oriental Flower (3), will be Oriental Flower (1).

I'm hoping to start blogging properly every day from now on.  I love having an online Diary, have missed this xx

First Happy Dance of 2016 & Next WIP to finish

Today I have a happy dance, my first finish for 2016.  I have finished this within 4 days, I loved stitching on this and now all 4 flowers from this John Clayton's Connections set is finished woohooooo.

Crazy January New Start Challenge & WIP/UFO Challenge

Today I started my January Crazy Challenge, and I started Queen Mariposa, sorry for the picture quality, just getting used to a new phone lol.  This is my small start on QM.  Tomorrow I shall be starting on Red.  I have a fair few to start, so the boys will be doing a lucky dip every day, until all the crazy mad challenge is all started, ready for me to finish hopefully towards the end of the year.
This next piece is part of the WIPs/UFO Slaying Challenge, this is a John Clayton piece called Iris, from the connections range.  I am almost half way on this, they are such a quick stitch, I wish I'd finished it sooner.

Tomorrow I will have a start pic of Red, and hopefully more of Iris to show you.  This week I got my new phone, which I ordered, on the 28th Dec 15.  I now have a Samsung Galaxy S6.  I love it so far, the reviews were better, than the iPhone, plus my iPhone, kept crashing, so when my contract was ready for an upgrade, I decided to try the S6.

The last couple of days I have been sorting out my Stitchy and Wool Stash.  I now have 6 boxes of wool, and a big bag lol.  My stitch stash is in a foot stool, that matches my sofa, and my stash cupboard.  I MUST not but anymore stash of either kind until I clear some of what I have. - This is the link for the WIP/UFO slaying challenge. - This is the link for the Crazy January Challenge.

Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had an amazing time.

I have not only got my 2016 WIPs challenge on the go, but I am also doing the Crazy January challenge of, so many new starts in January and getting them finished by the end of the year (don't think I will get many finished lol).

Just took delivery of my new mobile phone too, so having a play with that.

My first January crazy start is Queen Mariposa, not much done, but it's been a busy morning, in the Fisher household.

The first WIP I am concentrating on for the WIPS challenge is Iris, will update pictures tomorrow or Wednesday.

I am also restarting my weight loss journey and I will update you here, rather than have a separate blog, it's time to cut the fat.  I am NOT doing New year resolutions, I decided to set a goal and stick to it, so my first goal is to loose the 40/45 lbs that is needed, and the other goals will be to get as many WIPs as possible finished, and that includes my crochet WIPs and the new things waiting in the wings to get them started and finished

Lots of love xx

A New Start - QS Spirit of Winter Robin

I had a new start on Sunday night, this is 2 days worth of Stitching on HAED QS Spirit of Winter Robin.

This is what it will look like, once it is finished.  It will be a sow process, but I am determined to actually start and finish my first HAED.  I no longer have the old original HAED WIPs, so this is now my first ever HAED start.  I got rid of the ones I had started, I was lucky I was able to save what was left of the fabric, as not much had been stitched luckily enough.

I have a group on FB set up called WIP/UFO Slaying Challenge for 2016, I am hoping to get a few good finishes in, and ever time I have a couple of finishes, I will treat myself to a brand new start.  In fact I am going to be naughty, and have a New Year, New Start, not sure what I will start I have a few that I want to have a go at.

The choices are:  Spring Beauty Princess, White Winter Santa, Dress Makers Daughter or At the Met, too much choice, plus I have a ton of others, like the 6 other Bewitching Pixies, which I can't wait to do he he.  Think it will be put them in a box, and get the boys to do a lucky dip sometime.

Little House Needleworks HDs

Wooohooo, I seem to have my stitch bug back, they are only small starts and finishes, but I wanted to get my bug back.  The first one is called Peppermint Twist - Stitched on Crafty Kitten Fabric, June 2014 Ltd Ed Opal, 32ct Murano.

The second one is called Season of Love, stitched on the same fabric, It is such a big piece, that I am doing lots of snowmen/christmas stitchy bits on it, then will make into ornies, or get framed one day.

Not sure what I will be stitching next, it will be one of my WIPs I think, but not quite sure which one yet.  Someone suggest St Petersburg, but I may try and finish my cousins Tiger first.  But first things first, I have an infinity scarf for my mum to finish in time for Christmas.  I am also hoping to start ^ Fat Men, by Lizzie Kate.

Hopefully I can get back on track with blogging, I have missed it, and I'm hoping that 2016, will be a fantastic year.  Out with the Old and in with the New.

Before I forget I have had 2 pieces of awesome news this week.  A friend is making me a knitting basket, and I can't wait to receive it, she is having one made for herself, and her lovely husband has said he will make me one, feeling really humble and blessed.  My next piece of news, I have been searching for the Freesia Connections in Blue, by John Clayton, sold by Heritage Crafts, today I was told I could have the chart, but in chart form only for £7.99, but a few minutes later they let me know that they didn't have the chart in a package, no picture, and now other details, so they are now sending me the chart for FREE.  I wonder what the third good news will be.

I have had such a horrid start to the week, with a migraine, which made me very ill during the day, it tok several hours for me to be able to keep food or drink down.  But now feeling better, and now looking forward to my gifts.

Come back soon, I hope to be posting regularly from now on.  I know it's been a while, but now I'm a single woman and slowly getting life back on track, I will be here as much as possible.

Thank you for looking xx
