New Job

Hiya

Thank you everyone for the previous comments and messages left for me to look at.  I do really appreciate them

Recently I starting applying for jobs, and went for an interview on the 19th February, to my absolute surprise, they offered me the job on Mon 22nd Feb.

I started work yesterday, and I am enjoying it. I am an Operations Support Officer, for the NHS(National Health Service here in the UK).  Apologies in advance for not posting much for a while, I don't think much will get done until things settle down with the job.  I am hoping things will get there soon enough.

Please be patient, or if you follow me on Facebook, you all notice I'm going to be posting much on there either.

I wil be back to normal eventually, but not just yet.

Take care for now, and I will post something as and when I have something to show.

January Garnet Happy Dance, A New Start, Birthday Presents and The New Mirabilia

On Saturday, I finished January Garnet.  She was an absolute dream to stitch, and I enjoyed beading her.  Apart from a 2 day break, the bottom section of the dress, took me 2 weeks.

Stitched on Sage 32t Belfast Linen
By Crafty Kitten Fabrics

This next piece is a new wee start, have almost finished this.  It is called Song of Spring by Lizzie Kate. I just wanted a small start/finish, so I got Mark to choose, and this is the one he went for.

The next is my Birthday present from my Handsome Boys (Birthday was on the 11th Feb).  Season 1 on Law & Order SVU, I love this show, I haven't had the privilege of watching it from the beginning, but I have watched the last 4 series.  Just seen that there will be a Series 18 woohooo.  Now to slowly collect all the other seasons.

This next piece is called Snow Queen by Mirabilia, I sooooo can't wait to order her on Monday, when funds will have gone one.  She is just gorgeous, I have got some fabric in my stash for her already.  I will be using 32t Belfast Opal Linen, called Misty Morning by Crafty Kitten.

Thank you for all your lovely previous comments, I really must get this up and running properly.  I will try and update once or twice a week xx

January Garnet Upate

Here is a JG update, am working on her day in and day out at the moment.  She is coming along nicely, and can't wait to get her finished.  Hoping to get this side done by the end of Saturday, then I only have the left side of the dress to do, before I can say I have a Happy dance.  Hoping to have her completed by the end of this month.

This next piece is a baby C2C Blanket for a friend who recently had a bay, currently also knitting a couple of cardigans for her too, will add pictures once they are both finished.

This will be the next piece that I intend to finish, once JG is finished.  It is called Flowers of the Orient (3).  It is roughly half way, so hoping to get this one done next, then I am thinking of having a new start possibly.  But not sure what, I have plenty to choose from lol

Update on January Garnet

I started working on January Garnet this evening, am pleased with progress so far.  I am enjoying stitching again at last.

Will be back to stitching her tomorrow morning.  I have a list of what order to get all my 16 pieces finished, and after 2/3 finishes, I will choose a new start.  My new start once I have finished JG and Oriental Flower (3), will be Oriental Flower (1).

I'm hoping to start blogging properly every day from now on.  I love having an online Diary, have missed this xx

First Happy Dance of 2016 & Next WIP to finish

Today I have a happy dance, my first finish for 2016.  I have finished this within 4 days, I loved stitching on this and now all 4 flowers from this John Clayton's Connections set is finished woohooooo.

Iris - Heritage - John Clayton Connections
Stitched on White 28t Jobelan
Finished 28/1/16

This is January Garnet Where I left her back in March 2015 on the 22nd.  She will be my next piece to concentrate on until she is finished.  Have made a start on her today.  I love her, and am looking forward to seeing her finished.  I know it's a Crafty Kitten Fabric, I think it's called sage,

I have started stitching on JG today, and is going very well.  Hopefully she will be finished by the end of February or soon, I hope xx

Crazy January New Start Challenge & WIP/UFO Challenge

Today I started my January Crazy Challenge, and I started Queen Mariposa, sorry for the picture quality, just getting used to a new phone lol.  This is my small start on QM.  Tomorrow I shall be starting on Red.  I have a fair few to start, so the boys will be doing a lucky dip every day, until all the crazy mad challenge is all started, ready for me to finish hopefully towards the end of the year.
This next piece is part of the WIPs/UFO Slaying Challenge, this is a John Clayton piece called Iris, from the connections range.  I am almost half way on this, they are such a quick stitch, I wish I'd finished it sooner.

Tomorrow I will have a start pic of Red, and hopefully more of Iris to show you.  This week I got my new phone, which I ordered, on the 28th Dec 15.  I now have a Samsung Galaxy S6.  I love it so far, the reviews were better, than the iPhone, plus my iPhone, kept crashing, so when my contract was ready for an upgrade, I decided to try the S6.

The last couple of days I have been sorting out my Stitchy and Wool Stash.  I now have 6 boxes of wool, and a big bag lol.  My stitch stash is in a foot stool, that matches my sofa, and my stash cupboard.  I MUST not but anymore stash of either kind until I clear some of what I have.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had an amazing time.

I have not only got my 2016 WIPs challenge on the go, but I am also doing the Crazy January challenge of, so many new starts in January and getting them finished by the end of the year (don't think I will get many finished lol).

Just took delivery of my new mobile phone too, so having a play with that.

My first January crazy start is Queen Mariposa, not much done, but it's been a busy morning, in the Fisher household.

The first WIP I am concentrating on for the WIPS challenge is Iris, will update pictures tomorrow or Wednesday.

I am also restarting my weight loss journey and I will update you here, rather than have a separate blog, it's time to cut the fat.  I am NOT doing New year resolutions, I decided to set a goal and stick to it, so my first goal is to loose the 40/45 lbs that is needed, and the other goals will be to get as many WIPs as possible finished, and that includes my crochet WIPs and the new things waiting in the wings to get them started and finished

Lots of love xx
