Red Lady Pirate, Parts 1 of PR Mystery SAL & The Serengeti

This first one is Red Lady Pirate stitched on 32ct Opal called Hendersons Park by Colours of the Outback, I had to frog the reds, but now ready to start playing catch up again
This is also Red Lady Pirate being stitching on a Crafty Kitten Fabric, this RLP is being stitched for myself, so alternating these 2 as I go along.
This is the start of the Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL, I am running behind on this one, Part 2 is ready and waiting once I have made a dent in both of the RLPs that I am working on.  I shall be adding the beads at the end I think.
This last piece is called The Serengeti, I am stitching this piece on 28ct Opal Natures Grace by Polstitches Designs, This is Part 1 finished, I have 5 more months to catch up on, on this piece as I want to get this one finished at the right time lol.  Will do some more of this once I have caught up on the Model RLP for Colours of the Outback.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments on Pompejian Garden, I still have the bottom Swarovski Fire Opal to add (I did ordersome and they are here now) to it, will do that real soon.  I am missing stitching on it, but I know it is worth it at the end of the day, She is a beauty and once again thank you to you all my stitching family

Woohooo Pompejian Garden Mandala HD

Here is the finished piece at last, stitched on 32 ct Jobelan, by Polstitches called Cuddles (well I think it's Jobelan lol).  It has taken me 6 yrs on and off, infact it would have been 6 yrs this September, since I bought and started her.  Pomp was lovely to work on, I will miss it, but now I have several others to finish one BAP down, a few more to go phew, including HAEDS.
This is the centre piece all beaded including the Fishes Black eyes, I am not a lover of French knots, so decided to use beads instead for the eyes.
This is one of the corner pieces, I just love how it all came together.  Thanks to everyone for all their support and encouragement in helping me get this finished, it helped me focus since I have moved homes, and now it's time to find something else to work on.  I think Sabrina will be next, followed by a Model for Colours of the Outback, am stitching Red Lady Pirate for her.

New Home & Stitching

Hi Everyone

Sorry it has been a few weeks since I updated my blog, but having recently moved, and have just got my internet back, I am finally able to get on here again.  I am all organised, just need a sofa, arm chair and some drawers then we are completely settled.  Just going to get some beanbags to tide us over until I can afford the sofa and Arm Chair.

I have done the odd bit of stitching on Pompejian Garden done 5 hours so far on it, got a lot of catching up to do, which I shall try and start in the next couple of days.  I have also worked on Iris by John Clayton, did about 30 mins.  Will post pics tomorrow.

The boys and I have settled into our new home very well, it's just missing a few pieces of furniture, that will be needed, but have to save up to get the pieces I need, as mentioned in the first paragraph.

Hope all my lovely blogger friends are ok, good to be back online, will start looking at blogs real soon, take care my friends.

Pics coming soon of Flat and Stitching

Pompejian Garden update

Hi Everyone

Here is where I have gotten to with the 100 days/hrs challenge.  I have another 24 hrs of catching up to do, as I have been packing and getting ready to move homes.

I have really been enjoying stitching on this, and hope to have more pics soon, but not for a few more weeks i'm afraid.  I have a couple of models to stitch now, so everything else is packed away until after I move.  Take care all and will be back as and when I can.

Pompejian Garden Part 6 HD

Woooohoooooo Part 6 finally finished, I should have finished this in early 2007 lol, but hey ho never mind, almost 6 yrs later and it is done.  Just 3 more parts to go then I can bead it at last.

I have been doing a 100 day challenge of 1 hours stitching a day to get me motivated back into stitching, I have 3/4 hours still to catch up on, but going well.  I am going to start part 10 tonight, once tea has been had.  I would like to get this finished before the end of May.  It would be nice to have a WIP Slayer Challange finish, by the end of May.

I am hoping to get St Petersburgh Finished after this one is done.  Thanks for all your previous comments and also thanks for giving me blog awards, I really appreciate it, you give me the inspiration to carry on stitching.

Next month sees the start of the Araidne SAL, I was naughty and started early as you all know, roll on May I am missing stitching on her already, can't wait.

Ariadne Start and Pompeji Part 6

Ok ok I know I wasn't supposed to start Ariadne until the May SAL Start lol, but once I had sorted out the threads, I just couldn't resist starting her, here it is so far, she has been put away until next month.  I seriously need to concentrate on Pompejian Garden now.
Here is Pompejian Garden Part 6 so far, just the trees to go now, but it took me a day to finish and back stitch the fountain and bird area.  Am looking forward to getting some more done on it, I really enjoyed working on Pomp, so back to it once I am back from visiting family again.

I have also been very naughty and treated myself to the Mirabilia Christmas Limited Edition Trees, from 123 Stitch in the States can't wait for them to arrive,  I have done all the Holiday Fairies now.

Home Sweet Home
Stitched on 28ct Jobelan - The Deep
Designer - Polstitches

This is the lovely cross stitch I modelled for Polstitches, it was a dream to stitch and only took me a couple of weeks to do.  It was a lovely chart to stitch up, and just loved every minute of it.

I have been stitching on Pompejian Garden and almost finished Part 6, just the trees to go, will post a pic for all to see tomorrow.  I also started Ariadne as well as I just couldn't resist starting her once I had all the threads in a box ready for the start of the SAL on FB, will post a pic tomorrow of her so far too.

Enchanted Fairy Update as of 30/03/12

This weekend was Passione Ricamo SAL weekend, and I worked on Enchanted Fairy, instead of starting a new piece lol (which I was going to do).  She is looking fab already, I will be working on her some more, but wanted to update as I was late posting.

I shall be working on her until Sunday night, then it will be onto Pompejian Garden during the week, and this lovely lady every weekend, going to try this rotation for a wee while, then I may change to alternating on a weekly basis, we shall see.

Thanks for all your previous comments.  Rose of Sharon has been put aside for now, as I have some model stitching coming my way again, from friends, but also I found some wee problems on RoS too, so need to sit and sort it out before I start stitching on her, but it may be a while before I do get around to her.

Easter Fairy HD & Rose of Sharon WIP

Here is Easter Fairy finished today, took me 4 hours of beading but she looks great. I used the threads, beads and fabric from the kit.
This is Rose of Sharon where my Sis Marilyn got too, and I am taking over to get it finished for her.  Have made a start already, am hoping to have ti done over the weekend/early next week.  It shouldn't take me long hopefully.  It is only top section that needs doing.

Ariadne by Rachel Anderson

This Beauty has just been released today by HAED to stitch, I have set up an FB page to start an SAL of her.  It will either be an April/May start, but we all need to buy all the stash so that we can stitch her lol.  I will be purchasing her very soon, but need some funds first, so best get myself organised in the next couple of weeks.  I have the fabric and some threads but will need more of course lol.  This one is going to get finished, even with the other 5 on the go waiting in the wings he he he !!!

Christmas Tree Review for Yiota's Xstitch

Today I received the Kit for this lovely picture.  It is called Christmas Tree, and I just love it.  The chart and instructions are so clear and easy to follow, there is no backstitching to be done at all, and the best bit is the stitches are all whole stitches.  The Maderia threads are wound onto individual card bobbins which is great.  There is a DMC conversion on the Chart for those who prefer to use DMC.  The fabric sent is Evenweave, which I prefer to use, but this can also be purchased with Aida, or just as a Chart on its own via Post or Email.

There is a wonderful range of Cross Stitch Charts to choose from.

I am looking forward to starting this real soon.  I am a huge Christmas Fan and this will look lovely either as a cushion or on my wall.  A great product, would highly recommend the company to all my friends.

Chatelaine WIP Slayer Contest 2012

I thought I would try my hand at this again, I tried last year and failed, but I intend to try this year.  I have from the 1st March to the 31st May to get one finished, so I thought right I will go for it.  So my Aim is to try and get Pompejian Garden Finished, and try and stitch on White Nights in St Petersburg.

This one is Pompejian Garden, as you can see I have Part 6 that needs to be finished, then only have parts 10,11 and 12 to go, then I will have to long slog task of adding all the beads.

Here is WNinSP.  Have done parts 5 and 6 at the tops and started part 7.  At the bottom I have started part 5, would like to get this as close to being finished as possible.

Sabrina will have to be worked on at weekends starting this week.  Have a great week and I will post some more pics of stitching soon.

Sabrina Update, Celebration Fairy 2006 HD & The Coalman

Here is my update on Sabrina, so sorry it's been over a month since I last blogged, have been snowed under with stitching and other things to boot lol.  Life has a habit of getting in the way.  But I am not far from finishing her now, and can't wait to get her done, am hoping to finish her in the next 3/4 weeks, but I have a model to stitch up first before I get back to her.
This next piece is called Fairy Celebration 2006, she was stitched for the PR SAL, and I managed to finish her last Friday whilst visiting my friend Marilyn for a few days.  The PR SAL has come around again already, so quickly that this time I am going to stitch on Fairy Celebration 2007, as she is the next one in line to do.  Will post updates next week, will have to do them weekly for a wee while I think, we shall how things go.
This one was mostly stitched up, when I bought a load of stash of my lovely friend Karen who lives in Stockport.  There were only about 100/200 stitches left on it, so when I saw this I got it out and finished it off.  What a lovely piece to finish.  Karen thank you for letting me purchase your lovely stash, it is being well looked after lol.

Today I recieved a lovely email from a lady called Yiotas, who runs her own Cross stitching Business in Hampshire, and has asked me to review her kits, I jumped at the chance of course, what a lovely surprise.  She has seen my work here on my blog, and I am now looking forward to receiving a lovely Chart called Christmas Tree, will post pics of what it will look like and the stitching as I go along.  Thank you Yiotas for asking me, and giving me this opportunity, I feel honoured that I have been asked.  Here is the link Ladies, there are some wonderful designs on this site.

I will post my model stitching finish when I am allowed too, I am currently in the throws of stitching something up for Polstitches as we speak, such a lovely quick stitch, am flying thro it at the moment.

Wow thank you everyone for all your lovely messages on Halloween Fairy, I loved stitching on her.  I started Easter Fairy on the 8th and have done a wee bit more on her on the 15th, she is my Sunday night Project whilst watching TV upstairs lol.  Here is my first Wip piccy of her.

Here is my update on Sabrina, the top section is all finished, I have started on the bottom of the dress, and will post another update, later in the week, most prob Friday, I am beading and backstitching as I go, as it saves me from scrolling up and down all the time lol.

Belated Happy New Year and WIP Update

Happy New Year everyone, we had a very quiet night on New Years Eve.  I am looking to my 2012 WIP Challenge, I have 22 WIP's that need finishing off, and Halloween Fairy is one of them.
Here she is in all her glory for now, she is being stitched on Golden Nights, hand-dyed by Mel Munsell (thanks hun).  I just adore the faric, and there will be some left over for me to stitch something else on it, not sure what yet, but it will have to be something small lol.
My next piece to be stitched will be Sabrina, I would love to get her finished next, she is really pretty and I love her, plus I want to stitch Elizabeth to go with her as well.  Now all I have to do is start saving up to slowly start framing all these gorgeous pieces.

Here is Sabrina, as of now, I shall hopefully be starting to work on her this weekend, and hoping HF (Halloween Fairy) will be finished today.  Sabrina's head is done, just scrolled up so that I can concentrate on the bottom section of her dress, I just have the the right side of the dress in the top section to finish, then onto the bottom part woohoooo.  Here's hoping I can clear a few WIPs this year, before I start anymore of my wonderful stash.
