Easter Fairy & Sabrina WIP

Wow thank you everyone for all your lovely messages on Halloween Fairy, I loved stitching on her. I started Easter Fairy on the 8th and have done a wee bit more on her on the 15th, she is my Sunday night Project whilst watching TV upstairs lol. Here is my first Wip piccy of her.

Here is my update on Sabrina, the top section is all finished, I have started on the bottom of the dress, and will post another update, later in the week, most prob Friday, I am beading and backstitching as I go, as it saves me from scrolling up and down all the time lol.

Belated Happy New Year and WIP Update

Happy New Year everyone, we had a very quiet night on New Years Eve. I am looking to my 2012 WIP Challenge, I have 22 WIP's that need finishing off, and Halloween Fairy is one of them.

Here she is in all her glory for now, she is being stitched on Golden Nights, hand-dyed by Mel Munsell (thanks hun). I just adore the faric, and there will be some left over for me to stitch something else on it, not sure what yet, but it will have to be something small lol.

My next piece to be stitched will be Sabrina, I would love to get her finished next, she is really pretty and I love her, plus I want to stitch Elizabeth to go with her as well. Now all I have to do is start saving up to slowly start framing all these gorgeous pieces.

Here is Sabrina, as of now, I shall hopefully be starting to work on her this weekend, and hoping HF (Halloween Fairy) will be finished today. Sabrina's head is done, just scrolled up so that I can concentrate on the bottom section of her dress, I just have the the right side of the dress in the top section to finish, then onto the bottom part woohoooo. Here's hoping I can clear a few WIPs this year, before I start anymore of my wonderful stash.

A HD, WIP and more home

First of I would like to show you what I stitched Karen for her Birthday. As you can see I framed it, she loved it, and I know it has pride of place in her lounge. It was a fab weekend, no children for me, her son was out for the day on Saturday and we had a Twilight Fest, mmmmmm am def Team Jacob on that front lol !!!!!

Here is my wip as of yesterday evening, I ahve worked on her for 2 days, and here is where I got her too. She will be worked on more tonight and over the coming weeks. She is a dream to stitch up for sure, am soo lovely her, I just have the Easter Fairy to go now onec Halloween Fairy is finshed, I am looking forward to stitching her up in the New Year.

Pompejian Garden was put away, as I was going thro a tough patch and will come out once I have moved home and settled down, so for now small and easy things are great for my mind at the moment.

As for what is going on at home. The sad news is I am splitting up from my Husband, and it was not an easy decision to make, but there are a lot of factors as to why.

Sorry forgot to post here about my news. I got the all clear, for my biopsy a couple of weeks ago now. nI have had other sad news recently, but I will not go into that just yet, I have sooooo much going on, it's unreal.

I have had a HD called Cat Lessons for People, will post a pic one day, but sorry I am not in the mood for blogging or stitching at the moment. I will come back to it one day, but when I don't know, please be patient and I will keep you all updated soon

Oct/Nov Goals

Well unforntunately due to one thing or another I have hardly done any stitching since my last updated. I was kinda hoping to get Pompeji finished, but with a Mamogram due, I have been more worried about that than getting anything finished.

I went for an ultrasound on my breasts and nothing was found, but because I have a thickening of the breast tissue that is bigger on the right compared to the left, they still want me to go and get a Mamogram, which I am having a week today. Am going to try and stitch to take my mind off it for now. Altho there is nothing to worry about, I am a little scared to say the least. I haven't been sleeping well, and it is all catching up with me. I will keep you posted.

Goals for November

Just to get Pompeji finished if I can, and worry about the other stitching, once next week is outta the way. Sos for not being around Blog wise, but now you know why. Take care all and hugs to everyone who needs them.

After 2 wks of slogging away, due to mojo loss, but I seem to have it back for a wee bit linger now, I have finally finished Part 5 of Pompejian Garden.

Thank you for all your lovely commets, they willl def kep me going. I would most def like to get this one finished now, should have been finished a couple of months ago, but life sorta got in the way, things have settle down a bit now, so I am now getting back to normal and back to my old stitchy self. Roll on a major HD real soon.

On another note, I have just recently found out that my DH's Cousin had baby boy last week, but had no name, hope they give him one soon, I have a rather cute Birth Sampler to start working on, which I may do this weekend.

Here are my goals/rotation for the month

1. To finish Pompejian Garden including the beading

2. To work on Sabrina Get her close to being finished

3. To start working on White Nights in St Petersburg (finish Parts 5/6/7 on bottom section)

4. To work on Mermaids of The Deep Blue, finish small mermaid and start the bigger one

5. To work on one of my PRs, not sure which one yet have 3 of them started. It will either be My Lady of
the Snow, Enchanted Fairy or Fairy of Dreams, The Guardian

Will rotate 2 to 5 once Pompeji is finished

Here is another update of Pomp. This is the last part 4, I have 5 parts left to go now, and I have start Part 5. Am hoping to get Part 5 finished by tomorrow. I should have this finished by Tues 11th Oct, well the stitching side of things lol, then another week for beading.

Here is another update on Pompejian Garden, I finished the border last night. It is now scrolled up, ready for the final push of Parts 4 - 6 and 10 - 12.

Pompejian Garden Part 9 Finished

Hurray I finally got around to sorting out Pompejian Garden this weekend, altho I shoud have been working on a PR as it was SALL weekend, BUT I need to get this gorgeous piece finished. I am working on the sky about the roof tiles as I update this blog. Jeessssshhh I had no idea it was that long ago I did this lol.

I am hoping to get the sky and the border done today, then I can start the mamoth task of getting the top finished Parts 4 to 6, and then parts 10, 11 & 12. am hoping to get the majority of it finished this week, before I go away. I am looking forward to my weekend away, and I will be taking this with me to finish off. Am hoping I will be at the beading stage by next week.

Here is my lovely cute, little snowman, that I stitched up in about 3/4 hours last night. I just fancied something small to work on and here he is. I just adore Snowmen, he was just brilliant to stitch up. I haven't worked on Sabrina much as we have not been in too much lately.

Hubby has been on Holiday for a week and has one more to go, so we have been out and about loads, and have finally finished school clothes and shoe shopping, after having to go and change the trousers for Mark as I had bought the wrong colour grrrrrr. I am going to be away from Sunday thro til Thurs, as we are going up to hubby's Mums for a few days, then home and get them ready for starting their new Schools on the 5th and 6th Sept.

Guy is of to a local School starting on Monday the 5th and Mark is going Private on the 6th, typical when you want them to go to the same School they choose to go to diff schools lol. Never mind it will do them good not to be with each other 24/7.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments on Sabrina, I had hoped to get her finished this month, but it will have to be next month, once this lot are back to School and Work.

I have some new Stash arriving soon from Aus and US, can't wait will show pics one they arrive.

Here is my next installment of Sabrina, she has taken me a week since the last pic. I haven't stitched on her solidly for a week, as I have been out and about with the kids as usual lol. But I am hoping to get this top section finished by the end of next week.

Sabrina update

This is where I got to with Sabrina as of last night, beads added to Glove and Bodice of Dress, am hoping to get her to the half way point by Friday. Then onto Pompeji for a few days.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments on Bluebell she was a dream to stitch. I only have 10 of my Challenge pieces left to get done by the end of the year, but that could well be a feat and a half lol.

I had to remove a couple, one has to be restarted and QS Fragile Heart has gone away for a while, for some reason I just cannot get my head around HAEDs, and struggle after making a good start. Maybe one day I will get one done, but not just yet. I guess it doesn't help with having about 90 colours in the majority of them.

Dog Lessons for People HD & Bluebell WIP

Here is my HD as of late last night, I finally finished this piece at about 11:45 pm. I stitched this piece on 28ct Monaco by Sassy's Fabbys called Butterscotch Cookie. I just love this fabric, sounds good enough to eat rofl. This will be framed and go over the dogs bed next year when we get our Retriever.

This is a pic of Bluebell from December, as you can see the top section is backstitched and beaded, just have the bottom part of the dress and her legs to go. I did start the front of the skirt back in December so I should be finished by the end of the week.

Next weeks rotation piece will be QS Fragile Heart.

Enchanted Fairy WIP and Goals

Here is Enchanted Fairy, I hadn't stitched on her since October and felt really bad as I was not joining the Passione Ricamo SAL every month and I run it argghhhhhh. So here she is, and I will be working on her in the SAL and also in the rota which works out to start her on SAL weekends which is great. I was hoping to get her beaded and back stitched, but time ran out and I am now onto my next piece.

Yesterday I started working on one of my challenge pieces, called Dog Lessons for People and I will post a pic soon. I have done the top 2 rows so far, and will be cracking on with it for a week. As for Pompejian Garden I am gonna add it to the weekly rota, I was losing my stitchy mojo after a couple of weeks of solid stitching, so if I crack on with this rota all of these should get finished and new ones added as and when. I will not have any new starts unless they are for birthdays or other pressies.

Here is the next installment of Pompejian Garden Mandala, I have had a couple of weeks off this, due to lack of enthusiasm, but I will be cracking on with it again today, there are times I look at this piece and think why did I start it, but I do love it, so I shall get it finished.

I have part 9 to go and the border, the it ius the top section that needs to be done and Oh BOY there s alot to do there, before starting to add all of the beads arghhhhhhhh, that will prob take me a week of Sundays lol !!!

Pomp Update

After 3 days of stitching I have finally finished Parts 5 and 7 and also added the border. This is the left side of Pompejian Garden. Now it is time to start Parts 5 and 9 and add the border which is on the right side. Once that is done, I will only have the top section to go and all the beads to do, what a mamoth task that will be, there are about 3,000 to go on argghhhhhhhhhh lol.

Thanks again for your previous comments, they have certainly got me going again, and I am looking forward to having this piece finished. Am keeping my fingers crossed for an end of June finish now.

Pompeji Update, Robin red Breast WIP and Christmas Beaded Wreath

Here is my update on Pompejian Garden as off today, I haven't stitched for 2 wks due to alot of running around after the kids, but picked up a needle this morning, so I know have pushed the finish date to end of June/July, so long as it gets done that is fine with me.

This next piece is called Robin Red Breast, which I started back in January as one of my 15, and like with Pompeji it hasn't been worked on in a couple of weeks, but I love the way it is looking already.

Last night I decided to do a bit of beading, as I was in the mood for it. I bought this kit along time ago, so decided it was time to get it done. I loved doing this it was made within 5 mins. I am thinking about making more of these and selling them in time for Christmas. The will look lovely on anyones Christmas Tree or hanging anywhere in the house at that time of year. I know, I know way to early to be mentioning the big C word, but I loved making this, I have enough wire and beads to make them, just need more hearts and ribbons to make more.

Thanks for all your previous comments on Pompeji, I shall keep reading them until it is finished as it will encourage me to get it finished. The boys are on Half Term for a week now, so I am hoping to get more stitching time in.

Pompejian Update

Here is my next update on Pompeji, it is coming along quite nicely. I finished part 4 about midnight on the sides last night and started Part 5 this morning about 6am. I am determined not to let this one beat me, it WILL be finished lol.

Once Part 5 has been done, I only have parts 7 and 9 to go on the sides. Then start at the top to do Parts 4,5,6, 10, 11 and 12. Thanks for all your encouraging comments, they keep me going, I must finish, I must lol. The aim is to get all the stitching done by the end of the month, and then hopefully it shouldn't take me long to do the beadng.

Here is my next update on Pompejian Garden, I am really steaming along and loving stitching this piece. I am still on target to have this piece finished by the end of May this yr, hope I do, it's about time I got it finished.

I took this before I scrolled up to start Part 4 on the sides. I shall be working both sides at the same time, and then onto the top section, can't wait now.

Pompejian Garden Update

Here is my Pompejian Garden update. it has taking me almost a week to get this far. I started the left side bottom section which are parts 10 to 12. I am currently working on part 11, which is the border that goes all the way round. Once I have done this section, I shall then start the right bottom side. I am loving this piece.

I am just debating whether, to bead as I go along or wait til the end. I will prob wait til the end, then it won't get all bobbly underneath when they have been on for a few weeks. I am going to try, and get this piece finished by the end of May. I think April will be to short a time to get it done, but who knows lol.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments on Neuschwanstein Castle, it was a dream to stitch and it will be framed soon, I want it on my wall by my stitching area. I will add another pic of Pompeji next Friday. I am going to try and post once a week ever Friday so that you can see the changes in Pomp as I go along.

Neuschwanstein Castle

Here is my 3rd HD, I finished this one today about 1:15 pm. I have really loved stitching this piece. I also love the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in which this Castle appeared. I have loved this Castle ever since I was a child and here it is stitched up ready for framing and hanging in my lounge.

I am going to crack on with Pompejian Garden now, I am about to put it on a frame, so fingers crossed I can get on with it, without putting it off all the time. It has been on the go for a long time now, so time to get it finsihed.

First HD of the Year for me

Here is my first HD of the Year. I finished this on Sunday 30th Jan, late morning whilst visiting a friend. I made her jump lol, when I finished it. I took it out of my hoop, chucked in the air and went woohoooo, as I always do with a HD lol. He he Sorry Marilyn.

Yesterday I started on Day 2 of the Challenge, that I started back in January called Neuschwanstein Castle, will add an updated pic soon. I now have 33 WIPs in total (well 32 now that one is finished) and I will try and get as many of them as I can finished this year. I know I won't get them all done, but I will have fun trying for sure lol.

Marilyn, thank you very much for your hospitallity at the weekend it was great seeing you, Tessa (Westie) and Jacqui. I had a lovely time and looking forward to seeing you at Nuneaton in March. Things sure have been busy around here this last month. I was ill at the begining fo the year, and I phoned the Golden Retriever Rescue Lady, who we are registered with, to have a rescue Dog. When we were chatting she said they haven't had anytime dogs/bitches in over a year, and we would be best going down the puppy route. So we are now not just looking at Golden Retrievers, but we are also considering Bernese Mountain Dogs and Siberian Huskys as we love all 3 breeds. But I expect the GR will win lol.

I have been going out dog walking with a friend who has a Blue Marl Sheep Dog and looks after a friend's GR called George who is gorgeous, so I get to hold his lead when we go out for our weekly walks. He is a great dog, he listens to me and does as I ask which is great. He is very vocal when I get there says hello, and doesn't stop talking to me til, we get out of the house rofl.

So since we have said we will get a pupy, I have been sorting this house out. Everything that should NOT be on the floor is being moved like the kids lego, my stitching and anything else that needs to be put away, the rest will stay, as he/she will have to learn not to chew etc. So far the Kitchen has been done and the Utility room and Hallway is almost done, just the Lounge and Dining Room to do now, then upstairs to tackle.

We won't be getting or looking for a puppy until my nuneaton trip has been and gone, as we will need to meet mum and the pup/pups. I have said I will do the training, so less trips for me for a while, but I do have friends that have said I can visit and take the dog with me, so it won't be too bad hopefully. Will keep you all posted. WOW I think this is the longest message I have put on here in a long time lol. I hope I haven't bored you all to death rofl.

Bluebell Update

Here is update no 3 of Bluebell. I am hoping to have her finished this side of the New year, all being well. I have the bottom section towrok on and whilst I am ill andcurled up in my stitching chair I shall try and get her done. Hubby and the kids will be off to his mums for the next couple of days from tomorrow, as we are supposed to be up there, to go to a pantomine, but me not being 100% it's a no go area for me, as she has just recently finished her Chemo and Radio Therapy.

Day 25 Advent Pressies

Here are yesterdays final advent pressies. As you can see from Peg I got 3 pieces of fabric, a Nora Corbett Chart, mirabilia Chart, a Bent Creek and a Lizzie*Kate chart, a wee bookmark kit, udder cream and the threads to stitch the Mira Chart Day Nymph . WOW what can I say I was absolutely stoked, when I saw all these wonderful goodies. I so feel like having a new start, but I have enough to do now.

From Jacqui I received this gorgeous Quilting Book. I am going to have a go sometime next year, but not sure when as I have some serious stitching to catch up on and the Crazy Challege for 2011.
I haven't done any stitching this weekend as the family and I haven't been here, but I sure intend to make up for that tomorrow and when I am away at my Mother-in-Laws

Here is my update on Bluebell by nora Corbett, from the Pixie Couture range. I ahvev finally picked her up after a few months of not working on her. She is nice and small and stitching up really well, and I am enjoying her. I am hoping to have her finished by the end of the year.

Some WIP updates at last

Here are some updates at last. This first one is an update of Miss New Year's Fairy. The silver and black circle is the Clock she is holding. Am going to tkae it away with me at the weekend in the hope I can get my stitching mojo back, only stitching once a week at the moment and not alot is getting done.

Here is a Mermaid update, more has been done since I took this piccie the other day, I think my aim to get them done before Christmas is gonna be out of the window as my mojo has disappeared lol.

Last night I sat and sorted out my stash that I am gonna be working on for the Challenge in 2011, everything is kitted up with threads and fabric except for a couple of things that need fabric. Anything that uses DMC thread I shall leave in the boxes so that they can be used for everything that needs them lol.

On Day 10 from Peg I got this lovely note pad, it will def be put to good use, esp my shopping list, possible a stitchy shopping list rofl.

On Day 11 I received these gorgeous Hand-Dyed Threads, I love them Peg thank you sooo much. Especially the Blue one, as it is one of my fav shade of blue.

Today I received this gorgeous, glass piece with a shell in the middle, I think its a suncatcher, and it will have pride of place in my kitchen window as that is where we get the most sun, I love it Peg thank you sooo much for my pressies so far, you sure have spoilt me hun.

From Jacqui starting with Day 9, I received tis lovely piece of Fat Quater Fabby with Pints on it, I love it sis tankyou very much.

On Day 10 I received these lovely pink socks, they will def be keeping my feet warm in bed tonight, with no heating as our bioler is leaking. We think it's condensation, but I am worried as it is dripping onto cables.

On Day 11, I received these lovely charts by, Lizzie Kate, Bird in the Hand and Sweetheart Tree, thanks sis you sure spoilt me on these, I love them all.

Hi Everyone, sorry I haven't posted the last couple of days, its been hectic getting ready for a party on Friday Evening and Sat morning I am going to be doing a local Christmas Fayre.

Day 6 from Peg, was this lovely homemade bookmark, thanks Peg I love it.

Day 7 was, was a notebook with Christmas Tags inside.

Today Day 8, WOW well cute, thanks sis, I just love Keyrings, and tghis one is adorable, he will be hung up soon. We shall be christmas decorating the house this weekend, so house needs to be organised starting today. The kids will be helping me as they are home poorly, again lol.

Here is Day 2 of my Advent Exchanges. From Peg today I received this cute Holiday Flashing Christmas Necklace, roll on the holidays, I shall be wearing it, thanks Peg.

From Jacqui today I got this gorgeous Imperial Leather Bubble Bath. I love IL Bubble Bath it's one of my favs lol.

Gina to answer your question, as you can see we can put anything and everything from smellies, stitchy stash to choccie or biccies, mugs, scissors or what ever you want. For my boys I just did them one each, they haven't done me one, but I have put things in like Lego mini Figures, cars and sweets so far oh a couple of books.

I have set this up on the Stitch and Stash board that is run by Clare Hearnden, ready for next year so if your interested please let me know or I can set one up through the blogs for next year. These can also be done just between friends as well as board exchanges, it makes it more fun to open a pressie everyday rather than a choccie advent, altho I do love my choccie lol. I love Advent Exchanges.

Crazy January 2011 Challenge

I have also signed up for this challenge, where you have to start 15 charts/kits, one a day from the 1st to the 15th January 2011. The rule is once you have started all 15, you have to finish them all by the end of December 2011 (argggghhhhh am I mad, well yeah lol)

Advent Exchanges DAY 1

Hi everyone, sorry for not blogging in a month oppsss sorry guys, not really stitched that much in the last few weeks. Today was the first day for opening my Advent Exchanges hehe.

Day 1 from Peg on the Tranquil Stitches Board, was this lovely Lizzie*Kate chart. I am under strict instructions that I must stitch this up in time for Christmas lol, and I may just do that I love L*K charts and they are very quick to stitch up. I may get into trouble but if the kids want it made up for crimble then so be it rofl, it might be worth me stitching summat small to get me going again.

The next pic is a Choclate Advent Calender from my lovely sis Jacqui, which was Day 1 from my lovelt Advent package from her. I have opened day 1 and it waas a wee choccie Christmas Cracker lol. Thanks sis.

I have worked on Mermaids of the Deep Blue recently, but only one evening last week and so far only 1 evening this week. I know its not good, but ahve been struggling to get back to it since WBP was finished. I am slowly getting back to it, and I will have an update for you by the end of the week.

Mrs Cane, Mermaids of the Deep & St Petersburg

This first piccy is of Mrs Cane, settling into her new home. She arrived at Nuneaton on Saturday morning (thanks Julie) and arrived home with me yesterday. She will be dragging her cane out, every week, to make sure we are all getting on with our stitching lol !!! This where I got to with Mermaids of the Deep Blue back in June of this yr. They were restarted last yr sometime and not alot has been done. I have entered a contest on the Mirabilia Stitchers Board where we have to stitch on a Mirabilia starting on the 6th Oct until the 15th November. I didn't start stitching on them until Saturday as I was in the throws of finishing WBP.

Here is where I got up to as off last night, its not alot, but I am pleased with them so far. My goal for this contest is to finish the smaller of the 2 mermaids and then make a start on the larger one. I am hoping to reach to reach this goal and also hoping to have them finished by the end of November. On the Chatelaine Board there is a WIP Kill Contest, where you have to concentrate on one of your WIPs and aim to get it finished by the end of January 2011, so I chose White nights in St Petersburg for this one. I am going to try and stitch on this one in the evenings and then stitch on the Mermaids during the day.

I am under strict orders that I CAN NOT have a new start until I have had 2 more finishes lol, so I am gonna try my hardest to stick to it.

Last of all thank you for all your lovely compliments on Winter Beauty Princess, not sure what I shall do with her yet and when, but once I have made a decision I will let you know.

Hurray, here she is finally finished after 2 yrs of hard loving stitching labour lol. The last 3 wks have been hard going esp with all the white on her, but I am sooo pleased that she is finished. I started stitching her in October 2008, and I stopped in Nov 2009, so to get her finished in 3 wks is a major achievement for me.

Now it is the turn of Mermaids of the Deep Blue, but I am NOT going to stitch on them the same way I stitched on WBP, she had to be finished by today, but the rest will be done slowly but surely. Fingers crossed they will be finished this year lol. Thank goodness my mojo is finally back.

Tonight I shall be driving to Nuneaton for my kid and hubby free weekend, to visit all my lovely stitchy friends who come every year, twice a yr. I am really looking forward to getting there and seeing some of my friends tonight. Piccies of the day will be posted when I get back on Sunday.

Here is the before picture of WBP, taken in November last yr. This is where I had stopped, and couldn't stitch on her anymore at the time, due to all the white that was to come. It did put me off for a while but no longer.

I started on her again yesterday, and after 2 days of slogging away on her I managed to get tons of her done, I am really pleased with how she is coming along, and I am hoping to have more done on her this week.

I am hoping to start on a HAED WIP this weekend, I think it will be SK Rose Freebie, that I signed up for earlier this year. More WBP piccies will come alter in the week, I may do every couple of days, see how I go. I would like to get her finished this year.

Here is a new HAED, Freebie SAL that I signed up for last month. Part 1 came out on the 1st July, and here is how far I have gotten so far. I am loving the way this one is stitching up, and looking forward to working on it some more real soon.

I have had a busy time finishing of the children's cross stitching from the clubs that I have been teaching, twice a week. I only have one more to go, and then I can concentrate on my own stuff, thank goodness next week is the holidays, the boys are tired.

HAED SAL week

This weekend saw the start of the final Freebie SAL weekend for Enchanted Garden and about 3 others, think one is called Dragon Luck. I had started this as cross stitch but I just couldn't get on with it, and was wondering why I was getting headaches, well I finally figured out that the charts were too small and now that I have enlarged them, this one seems to be going really well.

This is how far I got on Friday Evening, it was slow going, but I only did a couple of hours on her.

This is todays work on her. I started at 8am this morning, as Nick and the kids went of to Cheshire for the day, to watch car racing. I am about to start stitching on her again, as no one will be home til gone at least 9pm tonight, so glad the boys don't have school tomorrow, they are gonna be tired.

Today has been a very blissful day, as well stitching, I went over to visit a friend who has a puppy (black lab called Maisie), who is just adorable and can't wait to go over for another visit. She was sooo playful, I tired her out, as she fell asleep on my lap outside hehe.

There is another HAED 6 month freebie SAL, which starts next month, I soooooo can't wait, but not gonna tell you what its called, until we get started. Thanks for all you lovely comments on the previous post, it lovely to get them, they are really appreciated,a nd the keep me stitching. TFL xxxxx

Mermaids and Wedding Happiness WIPs

Here are my updates for the week. As you can see Mermaids is coming on in slow leaps and bounds lol. I am still loving stitching these 2 lovely ladies, but I am alternating them with a wedding sampler for a friend who is getting married in July. I shall be cracking on with Mermaids tonight.

This next piece is called Wedding Happiness, it's a couples hand with the name and date at the bottom, once I get there of course lol. This is the ladies hand, and a bit of the mans fingers. This piece is stitching up nice and quickly so I am hoping to have it finished by the middle of next week.

I do have 2 other pieces that are new and will have to be started soon. One is a Charlies Ark Birth sampler for my baby cousin once removed Tristan, who was 1 last month, so I would like to get it done this yr, and it will be a little late, but will start it once the other one I have has been started and finished.

The other piece is called, Heavy Eaters by Heritage, it has 3 Elephants on it. The boys school teacher is leaving at the end of term so that will be the next one to do after the wedding one is done. Good job these 2 pieces are small lol, or they would be late too

I am joining in the May Serial Starters SAL on Facebook, so that I can aim to get these finished, but I shall not rush them. I will take my time as i totally mess up, the first time I stitched them and the fabby got torn and ended up throwing it away and starting again grrrrrrrrrr.

No as for my new job, I work at the local Golf Club near where I live, merchandising their stock, so that it starts to sell better. I also clean the owners house once a week, 4 hours, and its all done, including the ironing, I can't complain it's all spending money for me at the end of the day, and I am saving up for a rainy day with it, not sure what I will do on that rainy day lol.

Hi Everyone

So sorry not been posting, just not had the chance to stitch on my stash for almost a month, been doing the odd stitches here and there, but with working now, I seem to be having less and less time working on it all.

I am hoping that once I get into a routine with work and home life I should be able to get back to it. I am also hoping to start learning to quilt as well. So hopefully I will be having more piccies for all to see, once again apologies.

Part 5 Top Section HD

Here is Part 5 HD, BUT only the top Section, as I am aiming to get the top done, before scrolling down and doing the bottom half. I am almost done on Part 6 already, then back to Diamond for a few days, before I start on part 7. Part 6 piccy coming tomorrow.

Diamond Birthstone Update

Here she is finally, as you can see I have started at the bottom, it's been a while since I showed you my first pic, so thought I would add it again, you can just make out Rachel Anderson's signature in this picture.

Here is my next page added, which I finished last night. I have been using a hoop for this, but I decided she needs to go on a scroll frame. Once that is done, I shall crack on with page 39. I am loving this one at the moment, and St Pete too.
I am hoping to update you with St Pete once I have finished the top section of Part 5, hopefully this week, I shall be alternating between these 2 pieces every couple of days, so this is day 2 for Diamond, and then back to St Pete for a couple of days, to see how things go.

March Goals, didn't got according to plan but here is how I got on in March

Finish Part 5 and start part 6 of St Petersburgh - Nope, but I am almost halfway through Part 5 tho, so not bad.

Work on Blue bell - yes briefly
Work on HO HO HO - Finished
Work on Thanks Giving Harvest Fairy yes but not much to show for it

As for my April Goals

Concentrate on St Petersburgh (only going to work on the top section before scrolling down to do the rest.

Work on Diamond Birthstone Fairy by Rachel Anderson (HAED) - Page 38 half way (started at the bottom).

Will work on other things as and when I fel like it lol.

Poinsetta Fay HD

Here she is finished. I started her Friday night and finished her this morning. I can now say, I have had my first Passione Ricamo HD woohoooooo. She was stitched on the recommended Polstitches Fabric Fallen Leaves 28ct. I left of the backstitching on the Flowers themselves, as I found that I liked them without it.

There is an update of Diamond coming soon, just been slow progress, but I am still enjoying her.

St Petey Part 5 So far..............

Here is St Petey Part 5 so far. I am really enjoying this one at the moment, I just love working with silks. I am currently filling in around the windows and should have them finished by the end of the week, then decide whether or not to scroll down (this pic should be the other way up) and do the bottom 4 or carry on at the top, so that I don't have to keep, scrolling up and down all the time.

I am also working on a HAED design called Diamond, which I am hoping to show a piccy off soon. Just a few more stitches before I finish the page I am on. I am starting at the bottom, so page 38 is half way, and I am loving this one too. I work on it at nights before I go to bed, and St Petey is worked on during the day til tea time.

Think this will be easier. I am a bit disappointed that I didn't have a HD last month, but glad to see Part 4 of St Petey finished. Part 5 is going well, hope to have the top section done within a week or 2.

White Nights ins St Petersburg Part 4 completed

After having a lovely weekend of stitching with my good friend Karen, I finally finished Part 4 of St Petersburg. I have really enjoyed stitching on this piece and finished it about 11:30 last night. Part 5 will be stitched once Bluebell has been finished.

We had a lovely time at Karens, and are looking forward to her coming here in March for a few days. Thanks for having us hun, we all had a lovely time, and I know that Riley kept us all busy lol. The soup was lovely, and I shall def be making it again, Karen does have the receipe as do I so it you would like it, please let me know.

St Petersburg WIPs

I reiceved Fairy Moon in the post yesterday, can't wait to start her, but I must get some more WIPs reduced first.

Yesterday when I was visiting a friend in Bath I started on Thanksgiving Harvest Fairy, I will take a pic ready for tomorrow, along with updates on Bluebell and SK Enchanted Garden.

Thanksgiving Harvest Fairy, is my piece that I work on when I am not at home. She is looking fab already, will do some more on her today, whilst I am teaching stitching at lunchtime.

Bluebell WIP

Here is Bluebell, this is about 6 hours work, I have changed the Kreiniks to Petite Treasure Braid, but not too sure about the light purple in her, it seems a bit too light, but its was the closest to matching up I could get. I am not gonna frog and restitch it thats for sure. I am stitching her on 32ct Lugana, Gelati by SMF.

I am working on SK Enchanted Garden as it is HAED SAL week this week, but I shall be working on Bluebell in the evenings too. so I shall be busy. I am hoping to have Page 1 of this HAED sal finished this week.

Miss V Update

Here is an update of Miss V, this was a day and halfs work on her. As you can see I only have the skrt and legs to go, as well as finish the backstitching and beading. I am loving stitching her at the moment.

Not sure what I will stitch next, but I think its about time Winter Beauty Princess was finished, she has been on the go 2 yrs now. I will work on her on SAL weekend which is in a couple of weeks.

I am going to work on Celtic Summer once Miss V is finished until Thursday evening and then WBP for the SAL, lets see how things go.
